That's outstandingly asinine.
I'm officially throwing my support to the good doctor. And a big "oh my" to the tedious work of re-registering for a different party. I'm sure it once had its merits, but if other states can get along with open elections a progressive (as in Santorum no longer an elected official) I'm sure big ol' Pennsylvania should be able to manage. The last time I registered I think it took then 3 months to send me my voter registration card. And yet I somehow still get mail from Ohio where they somehow think I am an active registered voter, which boggles my mind. The system really needs revamped by some impartial people, and I'd say most of those unbiased people are on the outside of those regulatory meetings. I don't care who wins as long as its fair (actually I do, but you know what I mean, 'will of the (sometimes deluded) people' mantra).
